3 Years to 12 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Have a history of cleft palate surgery with or without cleft lip. Language development is within normal limits and there are no cognitive impairments. Have at least one type of non-oral features with at least one impaired consonant. Have normal hearing at the time of study entry and throughout the study. At study entry, do not receive speech therapy at other centers because it does not interfere with the treatment provided in the present study. Be monolingual and speak Persian. The child's chronological age at study entry is between 36-144 months.

MeasureTime frame
Dorsum Excursion Index(DEI). Timepoint: Three data points before the intervention and in the baseline phase, five data points in the intervention phase and three data points in the follow-up phase after the intervention. Method of measurement: Assessment with ultrasound.
