Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Insulin resistance. Timepoint: Before the start of the intervention and after the end of the twelfth week. Method of measurement: The measured insulin resistance is calculated using the following formula. HOMA-IR= (fasting insulin × fasting glucose)÷ 405.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Fasting glucose. Timepoint: Before the start of the intervention and the end of the twelfth week. Method of measurement: Serum glucose concentration in fasting state measured by enzymatic method Mg/dl.;Fasting insulin. Timepoint: Before the start of the intervention and the end of the twelfth week. Method of measurement: Serum fasting insulin concentration measured by ELISA µu/ml.;Glycosylated hemoglobin. Timepoint: Before the start of the intervention and the end of the twelfth week. Method of measurement: Glycosylated hemoglobin percentage using the relevant kit.;Leptin. Timepoint: Before the start of the intervention and the end of the twelfth week. Method of measurement: Serum leptin concentration in fasting state.;Adiponectin. Timepoint: Before the start of the intervention and the end of the twelfth week. Method of measurement: Serum adiponectin concentration in fasting state.;Malondialdehyde. Timepoint: Before the start of the intervention and the end of the twelfth week. Method of measurement: Serum malondialdehyde level as an index of lipid peroxidation.;High sensitivity C-reactive protein. Timepoint: Before the start of the intervention and the end of the twelfth week. Method of measurement: Serum concentration of C-reactive protein measured by ELISA method.;Diastolic blood pressure. Timepoint: Before the start of the intervention and the end of the twelfth week. Method of measurement: Diastolic blood pressure measured with blood pressure device mmHg.;Systolic blood pressure. Timepoint: Before the start of the intervention and the end of the twelfth week. Method of measurement: Systolic blood pressure measured with blood pressure device mmHg.;Anthropometric indices(height, weight, waist circumference, body mass index). Timepoint: Before the start of the intervention and the end of the twelfth week. Method of measurement: Height: the height of the person in a standing position without shoes with an accuracy of 0.5 cm, weight: the person's weight in kilogram
