Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A BDI greater score than or equal to 20 Fulfilling all diagnostic criteria of major depressive disorder based on the SCID-5 Providing written informed consent for participation in the study by participants No presence of any other mental disorders No history of mental illness No dependence on alcohol or drugs Do not receive other current psychological treatment

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of any suicide thoughts and beliefs More than two absences in treatment sessions

Cognitive flexibility: the ability to change cognitive sets to adapt to changing environmental stimuli. Timepoint: One week before the intervention, one week after the last intervention session, one month after the last intervention session. Method of measurement: Questionnaire.;Negative spontaneous thoughts: Thoughts that are not the result of reflection, but automatically and involuntarily invade a person's mind in a particular situation. Timepoint: One week before the intervention, one week after the last intervention session, one month after the last intervention session. Method of measurement: Questionnaire.;Emotional regulation: Behavioral and cognitive strategies for changing the duration or intensity of an emotion experience. Timepoint: One week before the intervention, one week after the last intervention session, one month after the last intervention session. Method of measurement: Questionnaire.;Quality of Life: an individual's perception of their position in life in the context of the culture and value systems. Timepoint: One week before the intervention, one week after the last intervention session, one month after the last intervention session. Method of measurement: Questionnaire.
