Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with severe sepsis Patients with septic shock Age between 18 and 80 years old
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Dissatisfaction of patients Patients with incurable diffuse malignancy Patients with alkalotic gasometry Patients receiving sodium bicarbonate prior to study entry Patients with hypernatremia Patients receiving colloidal solutions Any type of limitation in the administration of volume and sodium bicarbonate
