Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients candidate for total knee surgery in case of osteoarthritis

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known coagulopathy or hemorrhagic disorder Consumption of drugs that disrupt the coagulation system, including warfarin Patients prone to thromboembolic events due to primary internal problems, hepatic and renal dysfunction Patients include other concomitant skeletal disorders including hip osteoarthritis Traumatic patients

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Bleeding rate. Timepoint: Bleeding rate will be checked during surgery and before discharge. Method of measurement: The rate of bleeding will be measured based on the volume of the suction drain, the number of gauzes, hemovac drainage volume and hemoglobin level reduction.;Incidence of deep vein thrombosis. Timepoint: The incidence of deep vein thrombosis will be assessed at 2 weeks, 1, 3 and 6 months after surgery. Method of measurement: DVT incidence will be assessed by clinical examination and Doppler sonography.
