Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: aluminum phosphide intoxication Positive silver nitrate test Systolic blood pressure lower than 90 mmHg Serum bicarbonate less than 15 mEq/L Blood pH lower than 7.2 Cardiac output of 15 and above

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients or caregivers who do not provide written informed consent

24-hour mortality. Timepoint: assessment of death within 24 hours after arrival to the hospital. Method of measurement: patient medical record.
