According to the opinion of the physiotherapist, it should have an active trigger point in the gluteus medius muscle Visual analog scale should be at least 3 and at most 7 The oswewtry disability index must be at least 20 SLR should be positive in the range between 40 and 70 degrees

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: People with myopathy, neuropathy, myelopathy Existence of systemic, inflammatory and destructive disease Trauma to the lumbopelvic region, surgery in the lumbar region or symptomatic leg Symptomatic foot arthroplasty or fracture Fibromyalgia Cognitive problems History of physiotherapy and dry needling of gluteal muscles in the last 6 months History of injections in trigger points of gluteal muscles or acupuncture in the last 6 months People with dangerous internal diseases such as cardio-pulmonary complications and malignancies Fear of needles or contraindications for dry needling People with substance abuse or use of corticosteroid drugs, as well as pregnant women

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The intensity of lower extremity pain will be measured by a visual analog scale. Timepoint: 1. Initial evaluation before the start of the first session 2. At the end of the 10th session 3. Final evaluation in the follow-up session one month after the last session. Method of measurement: The patient indicates her assessment of the pain in the lower limb during activity on a horizontal scale line that is 10 cm long, from zero (no pain) to ten (the most severe pain imaginable).;The SLR range is used to evaluate the mechanical sensitivity of the sciatic nerve. Timepoint: 1. Initial evaluation before the start of the first session 2. At the end of the tenth session. Method of measurement: The person sleeps in an arched position and the therapist with one hand passively raises the person's symptomatic leg directly and with a straight knee and with the other hand creates stability above the front of the knee and pays attention to any effort of the patient to bend the knee. If the symptoms are reproduced in the range of 70-40 degrees, the test result is considered positive.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Functional disability that will be measured by the Persian version of the Oswestry Disability Questionnaire. Timepoint: 1. Initial evaluation before the start of the first session 2. At the end of the tenth session 3. Final evaluation in the follow-up session one month after the last session. Method of measurement: Disability index (ODI) is an index used by doctors and researchers to quantify disability in people with back pain. This questionnaire is a 10-question questionnaire that evaluates the impact of back pain on daily activities. For each item, a 6-point scale from no problem (score 0) to impossible (score 5) is answered .The total score ranges from 0 to 50. The questions are about the intensity of the pain of doing personal tasks such as: lifting weights, walking, sitting, standing, sleeping, social life, traveling and personal life. In the worst case, a score of five is given to each section, which will be equal to 50 in the total of 10 sections, and the overall disability is calculated by multiplying the sum of the scores of each section by two. The higher the score, the greater the disability.
