The effect of foot reflexology massage on pain and anxiety caused by suction in mechanically ventilated patients.

Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group: Reflexive foot massage is performed for 10 minutes for each foot (20 minutes in total). Intervention 2: Control group: There is no intervention in this group.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Hospitalization for at least 24 hours The patient is under mechanical ventilation and needs suction. Stability of hemodynamic status (blood pressure (140-100 mm Hg) - heart rate (60-100) - respiration rate (12-12) - SPO2 (90% or higher)) Do not use sedatives and anti-anxiety drugs at least three hours before and during suctioning. Patient age over 18 years and less than 75 years GCS above 8 The patient is not addicted to alcohol, drugs and cigarettes. The health of the soles of the feet has been confirmed in the absence of corns, fungal skin problems, previous scars, and neuropathy. Do not hit the head.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Need to perform other therapeutic interventions while studying Awakening and sudden exit of the endotracheal tube Impaired hemodynamic status of the patient during the study

MeasureTime frame
Pain score obtained based on COPT instrument. Timepoint: Pain measurement immediately after suction (before intervention) and after 20 minutes of reflexology foot massage. Method of measurement: COPT tool.;Anxiety score obtained based on FAS instrument. Timepoint: Anxiety measurement immediately after suction (before intervention) and after 20 minutes of reflexology foot massage. Method of measurement: FAS tool.
