Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Infants with a gestational age of 28 to 32 weeks Physiological stability in the past 24 hours No severe cardiopulmonary disease No congenital abnormalities, especially in the jaw and mouth area

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Infant experiencing respiratory distress during the study Need for mechanical ventilation intolerance to non-nutritive sucking during the study

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Feeding performance (time to start independent oral feeding). Timepoint: Before or after oral stimulation interventions. Method of measurement: sucking the infant.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Weighing the infant. Timepoint: Weight at the time of gavage initiation and weight at the time of discharge. Method of measurement: Weighing with a scea digital scale.
