Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age 60 and older Systolic blood pressure =130 and diastolic = 80 mm Hg during disease diagnosis Body Mass Index = 30 kg/m2 Taking at least one blood pressure medication over the past three months Full awareness Listening and speaking abilities and communication Having enough literacy of the patient and accompanying to read and write Iranian nationality and being Muslim No change in diet during the study Interested in participating in research Diagnosis of hypertension disease for at least 6 months
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Severe cognitive impairment(having a score below 7 in the Abbreviated Mental Test Questionnaire) Severe depression(having a score over 11 in the Geriatric Depression Scale) Acute illnesses Malignancies Severe sensory impairments (blindness, deafness) Stroke ?Drug and alcohol addiction
