Sarcopenia. Activities involving other muscle strengthening exercises

Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group 1: Resistance training plus high protein diet (1.6 g/kg/day). In this group, participants will train for 3 sessions per week for 8 weeks. It should be noted that res
on the third visit, maximal strength (1RM) and endurance (75% 1-RM) will be assessed
on the fourth visit, participants will complete muscular power tests using Wingate tests. After completing the pre-test process, the participants will be visited by a nutritionist and will be informed

60 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Confirming that they had not exercised in the previous six months Sleeping for at least seven to eight hours per day. Not taking any steroids or illegal agents known to increase muscle mass in the previous year. Less than 0.8 g/kg/d of protein ingestion. Being free of musculoskeletal disorders Being >60 years of age.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Musculoskeletal injuries Not following the prescribed diet Anabolic steroid injection Contributing to exercises out of prescribed ones Lack of inner desire to carry on exercise or diet intervention

Muscle Strength. Timepoint: Pre-test and week 9 (post-test). Method of measurement: 1 repetition maximum (RM) tests for chest and leg press.;Muscular Power. Timepoint: Pre-test and week 9 (post-test). Method of measurement: Wingate test for upper and lower body.;Muscular endurance. Timepoint: Pre-test and week 9 (post-test). Method of measurement: 75% of 1RM for chest and leg press.;Body composition. Timepoint: Pre-test and week 9 (post-test). Method of measurement: Multi-frequency bioelectrical impedance device (Inbody 720, South Korea).;Biochemical markers for blood lipids, function of liver and kidney.
