Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Expressed levels of proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR-?) gene. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study (before intervention) and after 6 months of intervention. Method of measurement: Reverse Transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) technique.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Expressed levels of oxidized low-density lipoprotein (LDL-ox) gene. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study (Before intervention) and after 6 months of intervention. Method of measurement: Reverse Transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) technique.;Expressed levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) gene expression. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study (Before intervention) and after 6 months of intervention. Method of measurement: Reverse Transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) technique.;Expressed levels of Transforming growth factor ß (TGF-ß) gene. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study (Before intervention) and after 6 months of intervention. Method of measurement: Reverse Transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) technique.;Expressed levels of Transforming growth factor a (TGF-a) gene. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study (Before intervention) and after 6 months of intervention. Method of measurement: Reverse Transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) technique.;Expressed levels of Interleukin-8 (IL-8) gene. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study (Before intervention) and after 6 months of intervention. Method of measurement: Reverse Transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) technique.;Expressed levels of Interleukin-1 (IL-1) gene expression. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study (Before intervention) and after 6 months of intervention. Method of measurement: Reverse Transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) technique.
