Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Observation of nit or lice in hair of elementary school girls by healthcare providers Parents’ written consent for their children’s participation in the study Health centers in Bushehr city with adequate number of patients

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Receiving treatment for current pediculosis before entering the study Concomitant use of anti-parasitic agents at the time of the study

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Recovery status means no nit or lice in hair seen by examiner. Timepoint: Examination of the hair of students at the start of the study (before intervention) and 7 and 14 days after starting treatment. Method of measurement: Hair examination.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Reduction of the number (burden) of lice and nits on hair. Timepoint: Examination of the hair of students at the start of the study (before intervention) and 7 and 14 days after starting treatment. Method of measurement: Hair examination.
