Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group: Four licorice 500 mg capsules daily 500 mg for three months. Intervention 2: Control group: Four placebo capsules daily for three months.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Confirmation of HIV through ELISA test Receiving antiretroviral therapy for at least one year and HIV viral load less than 50 copies per ml and T CD4 plus lymphocyte count less than 200 cells/µL Understand, ability, and willingness to follow study protocols and adhere to its limitations Ability to provide informed written consent to participate in the study Strict adherence to antiretroviral therapy
