Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Anxiety scores obtained from Speilberger State – Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). Timepoint: The circular and scrub subjects in the intervention and control groups will complete the Speilberger State – Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) by up to two hours after the cesarean section. Method of measurement: Speilberger’s 40-item State – Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) will be used to measure the anxiety levels. The first 20 items of the inventory are used to measure the state anxiety and the second 20 items will be used to measure the trait anxiety. The state anxiety scale actually assesses the individuals’ feelings during the time they fill out the inventory and is specifically used in stressful situations. The trait anxiety scale will be used to assess the general feelings of the individuals.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Blood pressure (mmHg). Timepoint: After being exposed to the suction noise for 3 days, the scrub and circular subjects in the control and intervention groups will undergo the right arm systolic and diastolic blood pressure measurement test immediately after the cesarean section. Method of measurement: Mercury sphygmomanometer.;Respiratory rate. Timepoint: After being exposed to the suction noise for 3 days, the scrub and circular subjects in the control and intervention groups will undergo a respiratory rate test immediately after the cesarean section. In this test, the number of breaths will be counted for an entire minute. Method of measurement: The number of breaths will be measured using a tally counter device for one minute.;Pulse rate. Timepoint: After being exposed to the suction noise for 3 days, the scrub and circular subjects in the control and intervention groups will undergo a heart rate measurement test immediately after the cesarean section. Method of measurement: The heart rate will be measured using a pulse oximeter.
