Conditions

Condition 1: Aerobic Performance. Condition 2: Isokinetic strength performance. Activity, aerobic and step exercise Activities involving other muscle strengthening exercises

Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group 1 (omega-3 + probiotic): Participants will receive two omega-3 capsules daily (each capsule containing 500 mg EPA and 200 mg DHA) along with one probiotic capsule co

Age
18 Years to 21 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: No musculoskeletal injuries No use of ergogenic aids in the three months before the start of the intervention Avoid taking omega-3 fatty acids and probiotic supplements in the three months before the start of the intervention Regular attendance at soccer team training in the past 3 years Age range between 18 and 21 years male Gender

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Aerobic capacity (VO2max). Timepoint: Measurements will be taken before the start of the intervention and after 8 weeks. Method of measurement: Aerobic capacity will be assessed using the 30–15 Intermittent Fitness Test (30–15IFT). In this test, the final running velocity achieved (VIFT) will be recorded, and maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) will be estimated using a standard equation. All measurements will be performed before the intervention and after the 8-week intervention period.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Isokinetic strength performance of knee extensors and flexors. Timepoint: Measurements will be taken before the intervention and after 8 weeks. Method of measurement: The strength of the knee extensor and flexor muscles of the dominant leg will be assessed using an isokinetic dynamometer (Biodex System 4 Pro) in concentric mode at an angular velocity of 60°·s?¹. The indices of absolute and relative peak torque will be recorded, and measurements will be performed before the intervention and after 8 weeks.
