Interventions

Intervention group: One melatonin 5-milligram capsule
night before surgery and the night of surgery and two nights later (one capsule every night).

Inclusion criteria: All patients over the age of 60 under hip, femure or knee surgery Surgery under spinal anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Drug abuse Dementia Sensory loss including blindness and deafness Epilepsy

Delirium. Timepoint: At the beginning of the study and T the first, second and third days after the intervention. Method of measurement: MMT Test Questionnaire.
