Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Confirmed diagnosis of decompensated heart failure Orthopnea or paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea (PND)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Cardiogenic shock Severe hyponatremia

MeasureTime frame
Diuresis. Timepoint: Assessments are performed at three time points: baseline, 24 hours after initiation of furosemide, and 24 hours after the hypertonic saline intervention. Method of measurement: Measurement of urine output.
