Comparative investigation of Rectus abdominis muscle approximation or non-approximation during Cesarean Section with the amount of postoperative pain and thickness and distance from the Abdominal wall.

Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group: Approximating the Rectus Abdominis muscle: inserting the suture and bringing it to the midline. Intervention 2: Absence of Rectus muscle approximation.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with a gestational age between 35 to 42 weeks who refer to the Clinic and maternity department of Taleghani Hospital for Caesarean Section and it's their first Caesarean Section.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.History of abdominal surgery 2. BMI above 40 3. Painkiller addiction 4. Allergy to painkillers 5. Age under 18 and over 45 6. History of previous Cesarean Section 7. Vertical skin incision 8. History of pelvic inflammatory disease

MeasureTime frame
Pain level after Cesarean Section with Visual Analogue Scale. Timepoint: Pain in patients in12, 24 and 48 hours after Cesarean Section and when leaving the bed and at a time interval of 1 week after Cesarean Section. Method of measurement: Using the Visual Analogue Scale.;The distance between two Rectus muscles after Cesarean Section. Timepoint: Six months after cesarean section. Method of measurement: Measurement of Tinea Alba at two points of Epigastrium and Hypogastrium by ultrasound.;Rectus muscle thickness after Cesarean Section. Timepoint: Six months after Cesarean Section. Method of measurement: The thickness of the right and left Rectus muscles in the Epigastric, Umbilical and Hypogastric regions by Ultrasound.
