Intervention 1: Intervention group: Mefenamic acid capsule 250 mg every 8 hours and Sumac capsule 3 g daily. Intervention 2: Control group: Mefenamic acid capsule 250 mg every 8 hours and placebo caps

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 18–48 years Body Mass Index (BMI) range: 5/18–9/29 Regular menstrual cycle Diagnosis of menorrhagia based on the Pictorial Blood Loss Assessment Chart (PBAC)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Allergy to sumac Presence of a specific disease Pregnancy or intention to become pregnant within the next three months Breastfeeding Presence of systemic diseases (thyroid, liver, coagulation disorders) — abnormal Pap smear or ultrasound findings including endometrial hyperplasia, fibroid, polyp.
