Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Malondialdehyde as an indicator of oxidative stress in the blood. Timepoint: Before music therapy and two-days after music therapy. Method of measurement: Take a patient blood sample and check with a malondialdehyde kit.;Systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, mean arterial pressure, respiratory rate, and heart rate as an indicator of hemodynamic parameters. Timepoint: Before music therapy and two-days after music therapy. Method of measurement: Blood pressure will be measured with an aneroid sphygmomanometer (Accumed model KJ-106) equipped with an appropriately sized cuff (24–32 cm) and a single-head stethoscope from the same manufacturer. Calibration of the device will be verified by biomedical engineers. Heart rate will be determined by counting the radial pulse for one full minute using a stopwatch by a single researcher. Respiratory rate will also be recorded over one minute by the researcher.
