Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Female age of between 20- 40 years At least one semen parameter of their partner was below nor¬mal threshold presence of at least 2 - 3 follicles = 18 mm in diameter

MeasureTime frame
Fertilization rate: Around 16–18 h post-ICSI, fertilization was assessed by the presence of pronuclei.a clear trend towards a better fertilization rate was found in the DGC/Zeta procedure compare to DGC alone. Timepoint: 16–18 h post-ICSI. Method of measurement: The fertilization rate was calculated from the ratio of fertilized oocytes to the total number of survived injected metaphase II oocytes, multiplied by 100 in both groups.;Top quality embryo if there were 6–8 blastomeres on day 3.The score of transferred embryos appeared to be significantly higher in the DGC/Zeta group when compared with the control group. Timepoint: On day 2 and 6–8 blastomeres on day 3. Method of measurement: With fragmentation less than 25% and the total absence of multinucleated blastomeres at any stage of early cleavage.

MeasureTime frame
Clinical pregnancy rate with heart beat was defined from ultrasonography findings showing at least one embryo with a fetal heart beat 5 weeks after transfer. Timepoint: 5 weeks after transfer.findings atleast one embryo with a fetal heart beat. Method of measurement: With ultrasonography.
