Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults with a confirmed diagnosis of type 1 or type 2 diabetes according to ADA criteria Age between 40 and 60 years Clinical diagnosis of adhesive capsulitis confirmed by an orthopedic specialist Moderate to severe limitation of shoulder range of motion Physical ability to safely perform resistance-band shoulder exercises Ability and willingness to provide written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Irregular attendance or inability to comply with the exercise program Development of severe shoulder pain or injury during the intervention History of rotator cuff tear or upper limb trauma within the past 6 months Cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, or other medical conditions contraindicating exercise Cognitive impairments affecting comprehension of verbal instructions

MeasureTime frame
Shoulder function including pain and disability of the arm, shoulder, and hand. Timepoint: Before the start of resistance exercises and after eight weeks of intervention. Method of measurement: Shoulder, arm, and hand pain, disability, and function were assessed using two self-reported questionnaires: the Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder, and Hand questionnaire and the Shoulder Pain and Disability Index questionnaire, and the Visual Analog Scale for pain.;Shoulder mobility including flexion, abduction, internal rotation, and external rotation. Timepoint: Before the start of resistance exercises and after eight weeks of intervention. Method of measurement: Assessment of active and passive shoulder range of motion using a goniometer.;Strength of the internal and external rotator muscles of the shoulder. Timepoint: Before the start of resistance exercises and after eight weeks of intervention. Method of measurement: Measurement of muscle strength using a hand-held dynamometer.

Endurance of the shoulder rotator muscles. Timepoint: Before the start of resistance exercises and after eight weeks of intervention. Method of measurement: Measurement of the number of repetitions performed with a resistance band in internal and external shoulder rotation until fatigue.
