Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group: 25000 IU vitamin A per day for two months. Intervention 2: Control group: placebo.

20 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: symptomatic patients with mayo score of 6-12 (who are symptomatic even after treatment with oral and topical 5ASA) aged 20-65 years old

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: being pregnant or breastfeeding or intended to be pregnant had other autoimmune disorders, had chronic infectious disease were using vitamin A supplements regularly smoked
