Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group: Eligible multiple trauma patients who refer to the emergency department of Al-Zahra and Kashani hospitals in Isfahan are included in the study and then 40 patients

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Multiple trauma patients Severe pain (above 5 according to Numeric Rating Scale) Acute onset of pain in the last 24 hours Allert with stable vital signs

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Psychosis Cardiovascular disease Open globe injuries Severe head trauma Receive ketamine, opioids, or other analgesics in the previous 48 hours

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Pain score. Timepoint: At times 0, 5, 30, 60, 120 minutes after injection. Method of measurement: Numeric rating scale.;Side effects. Timepoint: Until discharge from the hospital. Method of measurement: Count the number of items registered in the checklist.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Blood pressure. Timepoint: Before injection, 5,30, 60 and 30 minutes later. Method of measurement: Manometer( pressure gauge).;Heart rate. Timepoint: Before injection, 5,30, 60 and 30 minutes later. Method of measurement: Count.;Oxygen saturation level. Timepoint: Before injection, 5,30, 60 and 30 minutes later. Method of measurement: Pulse oximetry.
