Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of ulcerative colitis by a gastroentrologist; disease activity index of 5 or more; no need to hospital admission at the inclusion time Exclusion criteria: No consent to enter the study or continuing it; gastrointestinal complications (dyspepsia, abdominal pain in epigastric area); smoking cigars
