Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing elective major orthopedic surgeries in lower extremities and thighs Age over 40 years Referral to Imam Reza Hospital and Razi Hospital in Birjand Completion of informed consent form

Exclusion criteria: Anxiety and psychiatric disorders before operation Alcohol consumption and psychotropic drugs abuse Drug addiction

Cognitive dysfunction. Timepoint: One day before surgery and one week after surgery. Method of measurement: mini mental state examination.
