Interventions

Intervention 1: Pig tail catheter insertion: using Seldinger technique, due to surgeon decision catheter will be placed in second or third intercostal spaces anteriorly, or in forth or fifth intercost

Treatment - Surgery

Pig tail catheter insertion: using Seldinger technique, due to surgeon decision catheter will be placed in second or third intercostal spaces anteriorly, or in forth or fifth intercostal spaces latera

Chest tube: using cut down technique chest tube will be placed in forth or fifth intercostal spaces laterally.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: patients with spontaneous pneumothorax Exclusion criteria: emergent need for chest tube insertion; patients unable to respond or cooperation; patients with altered level of consciousness who are unable to maintain pain severity; patients who suffer pneumothorax complications or recurrence due to other underlying diseases.

Each procedure complications. Timepoint: after device insertion, during treatment, after device removing. Method of measurement: History and physical examination.;Pain severity due to each procedure. Timepoint: during insertion, after insertion, 24 hours later, 48 hours later, during device removing, after device removing. Method of measurement: pain severity scoring index with 11 grades.;Amount of analgesics used. Timepoint: after device insertion. Method of measurement: Dose and number of drugs.	—
