Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: nursing home care givers in Isfahan city who are literate elders who are residents of nursing homes in Isfahan City at least for one year

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: those elders who were extremely mentally disabled such as those with Alzheimer that were not able to interview and oral exmanination.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Dental Plaque Index. Timepoint: 3 months and 6 months. Method of measurement: Oral Examination and Questionnaire.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of nursing home care givers. Timepoint: 3 months after intervention. Method of measurement: researcher- designed questionnaire.;Simplified Oral Hygiene Index (OHI-s). Timepoint: 3 and 6 months after intervention. Method of measurement: Standard OHI-s index.
