Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group:This group After completing the questionnaires, participants are randomly assigned into groups of 10. The muscle relaxation program is conducted in 9 weekly sessions

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 20-40 years, Iranian nationality, confirmation of gestational diabetes with the approval of a specialist doctor from the diabetes center based on relevant tests, consent to participate in the research, education level of middle school or higher, gestational age 24-28 weeks, native and resident of Yazd, access to telephone

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of severe or disabling physical or mental illnesses that prevent the individual from participating in the program; Unwillingness to continue participating in the study; Use of psychoactive substances and substance abuse; Termination of pregnancy

MeasureTime frame
Stress, anxiety, depression, health literacy, quality of life, self-care, self-efficacy. Timepoint: Before the start of the intervention and at the end of the 9-session intervention. Method of measurement: DASS Depression, Anxiety and Stress Questionnaire and General Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (GSES), Health Literacy Assessment of Adults Living in Iranian Cities (HELIA) Self-care and Quality of Life Questionnaire in Diabetic Patients Thomas et al. (DQOL).
