40 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for control group: Female with Age between 40-70 year; Bilaterally normal knee; No radiological signs of KOA; No clinical signs and symptoms of KOA ;No contraindication for standing and walking. Inclusion criteria for KOA patients: Female with Age between 40-70 years; the same KOA severity in both knees; Radiological signs of KOA; Pain and tenderness in medial side of knee joint; Walking without assistive devices. Exclusion criteria for control and KOA groups: Any cardiovascular, orthopedic or neurological disorder which may affect subject’ gait; Previous injury, surgery or arthroplasty of any joint of lower extremity; History of fracture of either lower extremity during past 6 months ; Presence of clinical symptoms of OA in hip, knee, ankle or foot; Intra-articular steroid injection within the previous 3 months; Use of assistive devices; Significant foot disease; meniscal or ligamentous injury; patellofemoral (PF) pain syndrome or PF OA; KOA conservative management in the form of pain killer, physical or electrical modalities or exercises in the last 30 days.
