Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: First pregnancy 38-42 weeks gestation Live fetus, singleton, cephalic presentation, confirmed by ultrasound Cervical dilation at the time of entry 3-4 cm Free from any medical problems or pregnancy complications and mental illnesses Free from respiratory diseases and allergies Free from drug addiction and alert to time and place Having a positive smell test

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Mother's unwillingness to continue participating in the study Any problems during the study (such as respiratory allergies, umbilical cord prolapse, placental abruption, preeclampsia, etc.), Received painkillers 3 hours before the intervention Reduced level of consciousness Use of pain relief methods
