Intervention 1: Then group 1is treated with atorvastatin at a dose of 20 mg once a day at monthly basis
based on patient's tolerance, the dose is increased 10 mg till it reaches 40 mg per day. The dose is determined on the basis of administration of atorvastatin in patients with hypercholesterolemia . I

The group 2 receives placebo pills. In both groups previous dose of SSRI drugs or clomipramine that patients used to receive, is maintained

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria included patients with religious content OCD; lack of psychosis; the belief in Islam; the lack of mental retardation and physical disabilities and acceptance and cooperation in study from the patient; and exclusion criteria were Unwillingness of the patient to complete the period or fill out the questionnaire; refusing to stay in the study, develop physical debilitating illness during the study so that he/she won't be able to cooperate, move and comprehend.
