Acromegaly. Acromegaly and pituitary gigantism

Interventions

Intervention 1: Patients in the first group receive cabergoline 1 mg 3 times weekly for 3 months. Intervention 2: The second intervention group receive raloxifen 60 mg 2 times daily for 3 months.
Treatment - Drugs
Patients in the first group receive cabergoline 1 mg 3 times weekly for 3 months.
The second intervention group receive raloxifen 60 mg 2 times daily for 3 months.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: Age older than 18 years; high IGF-1 for age and sex; being on treatment with Sandostatin-LAR (post pituitary surgery) every 28 days for a minimum duration of 3 months. Exclusion criteria: malignancy; advanced hepatic and renal insufficiency.
