Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Ischemic stroke patients; focal neurological symptoms.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH); subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH); subdural hematoma (SDH); hypoglycemia; contraindications for metformin use; diabetic patients; venous sinus thrombosis; drug side effects.
