Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: patients with thalassemia major with vitamin D levels less than 74 nmol . L or 29 ng . ml Exclusion criteria:other concurrent diseases, including heart disease; Diabetes; Hepatitis; Hypo-parathyroid; Cardiac output less than 35%
