Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Having a peripheral venous catheter in the upper limb People over 18 years of age Ability to correctly perform proximal massage and palm fist by the participant after training

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who had vascular access for less than 48 hours Having a catheter in the lower limb Having weakness or paralysis in the upper limb that would affect the performance of the intervention

MeasureTime frame
VIPAS Visual Injection Phlebitis Assessment Scale Score, a questionnaire that is graded from 1 to 5 based on the degree of phlebitis. Timepoint: Data are collected 24, 48, and 72 hours after insertion of the intravenous catheter. Method of measurement: VIPAS Visual Injection Phlebitis Assessment Scale, developed by Gallant and Schultz in 2006.
