18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 18-65 years old patients Candidate for elective one-level lumbar laminectomy surgery No previous history of any diseases (ASA class 1) No previous history of spinal surgery Patients with BMI less than 30 kg/m2 Filling the informed consent form No history of addiction to opioids, psychedelics or alcohol No previous history of long-term consumption of corticosteroids, NSAIDs or COX inhibitors No history of consumption of antioxidants such as vitamin E or C or any herbal medications

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Bleeding more than 10% of total blood volume Duration of surgery longer than 4 hours Changes in surgical plan( including: laminectomy more than one level, diskectomy, posterior spinal fusion) Requiring transfusion of blood products Required to be treated by inotropes or vasopressors

Method of measurement: Superoxide dismutase activity assay kit.;Serum catalase level.
