Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: patients with no medical history or specific disease; patients that their teeth are fully developed and have straight roots; patients who are in need of extraction of both mandibular first premolars due to crowding or dentoalveolar protrusion Exclusion criteria: patients that their mandibular canines or second premolars are outside the dental arch; mandibular canines and second premolars that have curved roots; patients with increased overbite; existence of periodontal pocket in mandibular canine and second premolar area

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Tooth movement rate. Timepoint: 6 weeks after intervention- 14 weeks after intervention. Method of measurement: by digital caliper with precision to 0.01 mm.;Gingival invagination. Timepoint: after space closure. Method of measurement: examination by periodontal probe.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
External root resorption. Timepoint: before intervention- end of treatment. Method of measurement: evaluation in radigraphy.
