Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children aged 1 to 5 years candidates for unilateral inguinal hernia surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Obese children with a body mass index (BMI) above the 95th percentile. People with diabetes mellitus. Anemia Chronic infections in other areas of the body, Malnutrition Skin infection in the surgery area, Immunosuppression, or immunodeficiency. Patients who have recently undergone surgery

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Surgical site infection. Timepoint: Immediately after intervention- 3 hours after intervention- one week after intervention and one month after intervention. Method of measurement: Chlorhexidine Questionnaire1.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Microbial colony count. Timepoint: Forty-eight hours after intervention. Method of measurement: Direct visual count of colonies and Chlorhexidine Questionnaire2.
