Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group: 5 sessions of individual motivational interview was done once a week. Intervention 2: Control group: received no intervention.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: the women of reproductive age (15 to 49 years old)? being able to read and write? the absence of contraindication of insertion of intrauterine devices (IUD) like pregnancy, puerperal sepsis, the risk of pelvic inflammatory diseases or sexually transmitted diseases at the present or in the past 3 months, endometrial or cervical cancer, undiagnosed genital bleeding, uterine malformations, fibroid tumors that changes uterine anatomy, allergy to copper, Wilson disease? women who were at high risk of pregnancy (smoking, women with less than 3 years interval between the present pregnancy and previous childbirth, addiction, malnutrition and age over 35 years old, women with more than 4 pregnancies and chronic disease that if pregnancy occurs ,it will endanger the person's health)? women who had all the above-mentioned criteria, decided to use a secure method of contraception, but because of myths, they were uncertain about choosing intrauterine devices (IUD). Exclusion criteria: participants unwillingness to continue consultation sessions? absence of more than two sessions.
