Intervention 1: 1 mg/kg orally activated charcoal cooled to 4 ° C in the intervention group. Intervention 2: 1 mg/kg orally activated charcoal at room temperature in control group.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patient referring to emergency department of Imam Reza Hospital, Mashad, Iran that have indications of charcoal consumption for detoxication (consumption of toxic substance in recent one hours and intoxication by substances that charcoal was not ineffective on their toxicity).

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Nausea. Timepoint: Half and one hour after charcoal consumption. Method of measurement: By visual analogue scale from 0 to 10 score.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Charcoal content that patient can used. Timepoint: In treatment duration. Method of measurement: Report volume as cc.
