Intervention 1: Intervention group: drug: capsule containing 15 mg of prednisolon
dose: one capsule/day
time of consumption: 6 months. Intervention 2: Control group: placebo: capsule with no medicine

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: All patients with post intubation tracheal stenosis who are not ideal candidate for airway surgery at the time of first presentation. Exclusion criteria: patients presented with tracheostomy or t-tube; patients presented 6 months after the intubation time; patients younger than 15 years old.

MeasureTime frame
The number of patients who undergo airway resection;. Timepoint: 6 months following end of intervention. Method of measurement: the number of patients who undergo airway surgery.;The length of resected tracheal segment. Timepoint: whenever the resetion and anastomosis of the trachea is performed. Method of measurement: rigid bronchoscopy, pathology report.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The number of bronchoscopies. Timepoint: before an airway resection. Method of measurement: counting the number of bronchoscopies before surgery.;The time intervals between bronchoscopic procedures. Timepoint: before an airway resection. Method of measurement: days interval between bronchoscopic procedures.
