Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Having at least a fifth grade education Age 40 to 65 years No history of taking anti-anxiety and sedative medications in the previous 24 hours No use of anti-hypertensive medications No use of heart rate lowering medications
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Need for emergency colonoscopy upon arrival to the endoscopy unit Severe anxiety while waiting for a colonoscopy that requires drug intervention Vital sign instability while waiting to enter the colonoscopy room
