Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients in need of surgical extraction of the mandibular third molar who refer to oral surgery department of Kermanshah dental school Patients with risk factors for alveolar osteitis (history of pericoronitis, smoking, use of OCPs, history of alveolar osteitis)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Hypersensitivity to tranexamic acid Prohibition of prescription of tranexamic acid by patients' physician Antibiotic therapy regimen Surgical complications in surgeon's opinion Patients' unwillingness to cooperate with the trial Loss to follow up
