Conditions

Pain after septorhinoplasty surgery. Surgical and other medical procedures as the cause of abnormal reaction of the patient, or of later complication, without mention of misadventure at the time of the procedure

Interventions

Intervention 1: Group 1 receives a single dose of 1 gr Paracetamol IV in 100 ml normal saline, 20 minutes before the end of surgery. Intervention 2: Group 2 receives a single dose of rectal Indomethac
Treatment - Drugs
Group 1 receives a single dose of 1 gr Paracetamol IV in 100 ml normal saline, 20 minutes before the end of surgery.
Group 2 receives a single dose of rectal Indomethacin 100 mg, 20 minutes before the end of surgery.
Group 3 receives Normal saline 100 ml infusion, 20 minutes before the end of surgery.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: ASA class 1-2, 18-50 years- old patients Exclusion criteria: drug or alcohol abuse; allergy to study drugs or their constituents; history of renal or hepatic failure or disease; asthma; peptic ulcer; a history of seizures; history of chronic pain.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Postoperative pain scores. Timepoint: 15 and 30 min and at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ,7, and 8 hours after surgery. Method of measurement: A o to 10 visual analogue scale (VAS) score.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Supplementary analgesia. Timepoint: During 8 hours study period. Method of measurement: if pain scores are 4 or greater or on patient's demands.;Sedation scores. Timepoint: 15 and 30 min , and 1, 2, 3, 4,5,6,7, and 8 hours after surgery. Method of measurement: Ramsay Sedation Score.;Adverse effects. Timepoint: Continuously during 8 hours study period. Method of measurement: Observation.
