Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 60 to 80 years Candidate for pelvic or femoral orthopedic surgery Informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: dexmedetomidine allergy very low blood pressure history of mental and psychological disorders history of central nervous system diseases, such as brain damage, as well as neurological and neurological surgeries History of impaired endocrine function in the patients electrolyte disturbances history of treatment with corticosteroids in the near past dependence on alcohol or narcotics

MeasureTime frame
Postoperative cognitive disorder. Timepoint: 1 day before surgery, 24 and 48 hours after surgery. Method of measurement: The MMSE test (Mini-Mental State Examination).
