Interventions

Intervention 1: Intervention group:The patients of this group received 0.2 mg clonidine orally with water . Intervention 2: Control group: this group receive placebo similar to intervention group.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All ASA II patients aged 18-60 years who are candidate for total elective thyroidectomy surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with systemic diseases(cardiovascular, pulmonary, liver and kidney,...) Blood loss over 10% Prediction of patients with difficult airways Drug addiction Use medicines Interfering with clonidine drugs such as Ibuprofen, Metalol, losartan, beta-blockers, diazepam and vitamin B12.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Timepoint: From the beginning of anesthesia to 30th minute,every 5 minutes and after that every 15minutes. Method of measurement: Mercury barometer.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Mean arterial pressure(MAP). Timepoint: From the beginning of anesthesia to 30th minute,every 5 minutes and after that every 15minutes. Method of measurement: Mercury barometer.;Heart rate. Timepoint: From the beginning of anesthesia to 30th minute,every 5 minutes and after that every 15minutes. Method of measurement: Counting in each minutes.;Partial pressure of end tidal of carbondioxide. Timepoint: From the beginning of anesthesia and then every 30 minutes. Method of measurement: Using the Copnograph.;Saturation of peripheral oxygen. Timepoint: From the beginning of anesthesia and then every 30 minutes. Method of measurement: Via the Pulse Oximeter.
