Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: inclusion criteria : Informed consent for participation in the intervention; Children who have been hospitalized with the diagnosis of appendicitis; The presence of a parent; Without delay, retardation of growth and visible; Lack of chronic diseases; Not suffering from separation anxiety and known phobia ; Lack of severe pain before intervention; Aged between 6-12 years; No history of previous surgery; Parents not employed in hospitals.exclusion criteria : Withdrew from the study for any reason; Children who are in urgent need of surgery; Severe pain during the intervention
