Conditions

Mental retardation. Approximate IQ range of 50 to 69 (in adults, mental age from 9 to under 12 years). Likely to result in some learning difficulties in school. Many adults will be able to work and maintain good social relationships and contribute to society

Intervention 1: Instruction and training of spark motor program which included games and simple athletic movements for children was conducted over 24 sessions with 45 min for Spark group. Intervention

Instruction and training of spark motor program which included games and simple athletic movements for children was conducted over 24 sessions with 45 min for Spark group.
Instruction and training of different simple and complex basketball techniques such as passes, shoots, dribbles and so on were conducted over 24 sessions with 45 min for basketball group.
Ordinary school activity such as non-organized activity that is executed in sport time was conducted over 24 sessions with 45 min for control group

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: 9 to 14 year old boys with educable intellectually disabled and Exclusion criteria: specific diseases such as epilepsy, seizures, cardiovascular problems and other certain disease.

Gross Motor Skills Including Strength, Bilateral Coordination, Balance and Speed. Timepoint: Before intervention and After 24 weeks after intervention. Method of measurement: The test was conducted in accordance with BOTMP scale.
